World Diabetes Day (WDD) is the global awareness campaign on Diabetes and it was introduced in 1991 by the International Diabetes Federation and the World Health Organization in response to the alarming rise of diabetes around the world. The day is celebrated globally on 14th November. The theme for this years’ WDD is ‘Healthy living starts at Breakfast’. There is a special focus on starting each day by having a healthy breakfast.
OBS Pakistan was the forerunner in driving the World Diabetes Day Awareness Campaign in Pakistan. Our Jaguar Team took the awareness campaign to HCPs across Pakistan. Partnering with, and through, HCPs and Institutes across Pakistan, our team members used the World Diabetes Day customized posters and Leaflets for awareness, while World Diabetes Day symbolic ring was presented to the HCPs. A special MSD World Diabetes Day Conversation Starter was developed in coordination with the region to help HCPs understand the close working partnership between us and the International Diabetes Federation.
This Diabetes Awareness Day, the IDF invites you to Pledge for a Healthy Breakfast!
